Ryan grew up in Jordan. He earned his bachelor’s degree in professional studies, with an emphasis in biology: ecology, from Winona State University.

He enjoys working with landowners on filter strips, wetland restorations and structural practices. He is also involved with the Wetland Conservation Act and the Urban Erosion Control Program.

Ryan has been working for the District for 10 years.
