The Scott Soil and Water Conservation District in Jordan, with support from community sponsors, oversees the Conservation Leaders Program, recognizing individuals, families, businesses, schools and government entities for their outstanding efforts in implementing conservation practices and improving natural resources in Scott County. Thank you, 2011 Conservation Leaders Program Sponsors! Eligibility: For the application to be included in the recognition program, the nominee must live in Scott County. Application Deadline: 2012 nomination applications are due by 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012. Applications may be mailed to: Conservation Leaders Program, Scott Soil and Water Conservation District, 7151 190th Street W, Suite 125, Jordan MN 55352 OR scanned applications may also be sent to dhrabe@co.scott.mn.us Awards: An outdoor property recognition sign will be awarded to each of the winners in the four categories. From these four, an overall winner will be chosen as the 2012 Conservation Leader of the year, receiving a plaque and outdoor signage for his or her property. These awards will be presented at the annual Scott SWCD banquet in December 2012.
